Privacy Policy

Ritual Canvas is a habit tracker for iPhone made by Oleksandr Butenko, an independent developer in Alicante, Spain (“we”). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: we don't have accounts, we don't show ads, we don't track you, and we can't see your habits.
Your habits and paintings
Your habits, check-offs and paintings are stored on your device. If iCloud sync is on, they are also stored in your private iCloud database, managed by Apple under your Apple Account. We cannot access this data. You can turn sync off in Settings → iCloud sync, and you can delete everything by deleting the app and removing its data from iCloud in iOS Settings.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand which features are used, the app sends anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck, for example “onboarding step 2 finished”, “a habit was checked off in the app or widget”, or “an image was shared”. Signals contain no names, habit names, email addresses or advertising identifiers; the device identifier is replaced by a one-way hash before it leaves the app, so signals are not linked to you. They are not used for tracking or advertising.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your purchase is active; it receives the purchase receipt from Apple and a random app user ID, not your name or payment details.
Notifications, Photos and on-device features
- Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server.
- If you choose Save Image when sharing, the app asks to add that image to your photo library. It never reads your photos.
- The optional Weekly note is written by Apple's on-device language model. Your data does not leave your iPhone for it.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent data, don't use advertising networks, don't track you across apps or websites, and don't ask for your location or contacts.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or another region with data protection laws, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to complain to your local supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal data about you, most requests can be handled on your device; for anything else, write to hello@ritualcanvas.com.
Children
Ritual Canvas is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
